Made from selected grapes from vineyards on terraces. Soil and exposure: Mainly marls and sandstones belonging to the flyschoid formation of the Eocene age, characteristics of the hilly area with south, south-est exposure.
Grape variety: Cabernet Franc. Wine region: Goriška brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone with a predominantly clayey component), the soil is rich in minerals and marine fossils. Vineyard orientation: S, SE Altitude: 130 m Vine training: single Guyot Grape harvest: October. Hand harvesting of selected grapes at full ripeness. Gentle handling of grapes and must. Maceration: 14 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks. Maturation: Natural maturing in 225 –Litre oak barrels (barrique) for three years. Maturing continues after bottling. Tertiary aromas will develop over the years to come. Sugar level: dry Bottle and packaging: Bordolese EUROPEA 0,75 l/cardboard box of 12 bottles.
Serving temperature: 18 °C We recommend opening the bottle about one hour prior to tasting the wine. The aroma is fully developed through the process of decanting.
Description: Intense ruby red colour. With longer maturing, it takes on ruby red to brick hues. The bouquet is ripe, complex, and noble, with a scent of tobacco, cigars and leather. On the palate, black cherry, plum jam, pepper, and oak notes are all elegantly enriched with a soft spiciness. Harmonious and persistent flavour with a pleasant freshness and a mineral note. Smooth tannins. An elegant, full-bodied wine. Noble aftertaste.
