SELECTED LOCATIONS

Clones of the Cabernet Franc variety come from old vineyards of the Constantini estate. This is an excellent variety which under  specific soil and microclimatic conditions, shows all of its freshness and refined aromas. Made from selected grapes of the terraces vineyards. Naturally dried Cabernet Franc grapes are used in part.

Wine growing region: Goriška Brda - Slovenia
Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone), the soil is rich in minerals.
Vineyard orientation: SE
Vine training: single Guyot
Altitude: 120 m
Grape harvest: Early October. Hand harvesting at full ripeness, selected grapes. Gentle handling of grapes and must.
Maceration: 10 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed in oak barrels.

Naturally dried grapes are fermented and matured separately in barrique barrels.

Maturing:  natural maturing in oak barrels for two years.
Sugar level: dry
Wine is not filtered.
Bottle and packaging: Bordolese EUROPEA 0,75 l/cardboard box of 6 or 12 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 °C
We recommend opening the bottle about one hour prior to tasting the wine.The aroma is fully developed through the process of decanting.
Description: Rich, ruby red colour. Complex and sophisticated fragrances. The taste is persistent, structured and well balanced with nice acidity. This special wine offers a variety of ripe fruit aromas of: raspberries, dark cherries with spicy taste of dried plums. Mineral and elegant wine. Rich, long and coplex aftertaste.

Great potential for bottle maturing.

Appetizers: oven-roasted eggplant, fried liver
Main courses: roasted eel with sage, beef steak
Game meat: wild rabbit with Cabernet, grilled venison tenderloin
Cheeses: mature cheeses

MUSE Cabernet Franc with the maturing capability of 10 years or more, in bottles. Over the years of ageing, the rich structure and harmony of aromas gain in complexity, elegance and bouquet. The wine stays fresh, fullness of taste and vitality thanks to the micro-terroir and the natural production method.
