A more complex, full-bodied wine made from selected, best grapes of the terraced vineyards. Time proven locations. Clones of the Cabernet Franc variety come from the old vineyards of the Constantini estate.
Special occasion wine with excellent structure. Naturally dried, selected Cabernet Franc grapes are used in part.
Grape variety: Cabernet Franc Wine region: Goriška Brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone), the soil is rich in minerals. Vineyard orientation: SE
Vine training: single Guyot Altitude: 130 m Grape harvest: Early October. Hand harvesting at full ripeness, selected grapes. Gentle handling of grapes and must. Maceration: 14 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. The wine is fermented with the grapes own yeast. Fermentation is completed in oak barrels.
Naturally dried, selected Cabernet Franc grapes are fermented and matured separately in barrique barrels.
Maturing: natural maturing in oak barrels for four years. Maturing continues after bottling. Sugar level: dry The wine is not filtered. Bottle and packaging: Bordolese EUROPEA 0,75 l/cardboard box of 6 or 12 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 °C We recommend opening the bottle about one hour prior to tasting the wine. The aroma is fully developed through the process of decanting. Description: Lively dark ruby colour with violet undertones. After a long period of maturing, this wine takes on a ruby brick hues. Fine and noble bouquet. This special wine offers a variety of complex aromas: ripe fruit, cherries in liqueur, liquorice, toast, leather and goudron, all elegantly enriched with a soft spiciness. A fresh, mineral wine with soft tannins. A well structured and elegant wine. Long and noble aftertaste.
