CABERNET SAUVIGNON MAGNOLIJA is made from grapes growing in terraced vineyards. Soil and exposure: Mainly marls and sandstones belonging to the flyschoid formation of the Eocene age, characteristics of the hilly area with south, south-est exposure.
Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Wine region: Goriška brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone with a predominantly clayey component), the soil is rich in minerals and marine fossils. Vineyard orientation: S Altitude: 100 m Vine training: single Guyot Grape harvest: October. Hand harvesting at full ripeness. Gentle handling of grapes and must.
Maceration: 10 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks.
Barrels: Barriques, made to our order from Slovenian oak, selection.
Maturing: natural maturing in oak barrels for two years. Maturing continues after bottling. Sugar level: dry Bottle and packaging: Bordolese VERONA 1,5 L / 6 bottle cardboard box and Bordolese EUROPEA 0,75 L / 12 bottle cardboard box.
Serving temperature: 18°C. Description Brilliant ruby red colour. Bouquet of ripe forest fruits, and black cherries in harmony with pleasant acid, all elegantly enriched with a soft spiciness and tannins. The taste is complex and fresh. The wine feels harmonious and mineral. Over the years of maturing, the structure gains elegance and finesse of flavour, while keeping its freshness, fruitiness, and vitality. A fruity, noble aftertaste.
