CABERNET SAUVIGNON MAGNOLIJA is made from grapes growing in terraced vineyards. Soil and exposure: Mainly marls and sandstones belonging to the flyschoid formation of the Eocene age, characteristics of the hilly area with south, south-est exposure.
Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Wine region: Goriška brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone with a predominantly clayey component), the soil is rich in minerals and marine fossils. Vineyard orientation: S Altitude: 100 m Vine training: single Guyot Grape harvest: October. Hand harvesting at full ripeness. Gentle handling of grapes and must.
Maceration: 10 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks.
Barrels: Barriques, made to our order from Slovenian oak, selection.
Maturing: natural maturing in oak barrels for two years. Maturing continues after bottling. Sugar level: dry Bottle and packaging: Bordolese VERONA 1,5 L / 6 bottle cardboard box and Bordolese EUROPEA 0,75 L / 12 bottle cardboard box.
Serving temperature: 18°C. Description: Ruby red colour. Bouquet of ripe forest fruits, and black cherries in harmony with pleasant acid, all elegantly enriched with a soft spiciness. The taste is complex, fresh, and full. The wine feels harmonious and mineral. After a sip, the aroma is preserved. A fruity aftertaste, with soft tannins. Noble aftertaste.
