SELECTED LOCATIONS

A more complex, full-bodied wine made from selected, best grapes of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon grown and Cabernet Franc in terraced vineyards. Old, time-tested clones. Special occasion wine with excellent structure. Naturally dried, selected Merlot grapes are used in part. This is a blend that only matures in the best vintages.

Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone), the soil is rich in minerals.

Altitude: 120m
Vine training: single Guyot
Grape harvest: October. Hand harvesting, selected grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon at full ripeness. Gentle handling of grapes and must.
Maceration: 18 days on the skins in tronconic wooden vats. The wine is fermented with the grape`s own yeast. Fermentation is completed in barrique oak barrels.

Naturally dried grapes are fermented and matured separately in barrique barrels.

Maturing: natural maturing in oak barrels for two years. Maturing continues after bottling.
Sugar level: dry
Wine is not filtered.
Bottle and packaging: Bordolese GOLIA 0,75 l/cardboard box of 6 bottles

Serving temperature: 18-20°C.
Description: Dark ruby red colour. After a long period of maturing this wine takes on a brick red colour with ruby red hues. Fine and unique aroma with a balanced woody scent, with notes of ripe red fruit, plum, fruits of the forest and mulberries, all elegantly enriched with a soft spiciness. The finish is almost balsamic with evident notes of eucalyptus and liquorice. Powerful, extremely enveloping balanced and soft palate. An excellent wine, concentrated with mature and well blended fragrances and minerals. Long and noble aftertaste.
