Unique Wine made from selected, finest grapes from vineyards on terraces, selected and tested orientations. A select blend that ripens only in the most favourable vintages. Syrah grape can produce wines of great elegance that mature beautifully.
A wine for special occasions, with an excellent structure. A stunning Cuvee, part of the naturally dried, selected Merlot grape.

Grape variety: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc Wine region: Goriška brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone with a predominantly clayey component, the soil is rich in minerals and marine fossils. Maceration: 18 days on the skins in tronconic wooden vats. The wine is fermented with the grape`s own yeast. Fermentation is completed in barrique oak barrels. Barrels: Barriques, made to our order from Slovenian oak, selection.
Naturally dried, selected Merlot grapes are fermented and matured separately in barrique barrels.
Maturing: natural maturing in barrique barrels for four years. After tasting, the wines are blended to combine Cuvee MUSE EXTRA. Maturing continues after bottling. TERTIARY AROMAS will develop over the years to come. Sugar level: dry Wine is not filtered. Bottle and packaging: Bordolese GOLIA 0,75 l / cardboard box of 6 bottles
Serving temperature: 18–20 °C. We recommend opening the bottle about one hour prior to tasting the wine. The aroma is fully developed through the process of decanting.
Description: Deep and intense ruby-red colour. Sophisticated, noble bouquet, with intense aromas of violets and a sleek spiciness. On the palate, this wine offers a rich, full and seamless texture with black and red fruits in abundance, balsamic notes, flavours of blueberries, dark liquorice and cassis. Sweet spices, dark dried fruits and cardamom linger on a long, persistent charry finish. The wine is full-bodied and very complex, with ripe and plush tannins and vibrant acidity. Long, fresh and noble aftertaste.
Great potential for bottle maturing.
Food pairing Red meat in almost any form: grilled, stewed, smoked or roasted. Play off the implicit peppery character of the wine by incorporating spices and peppers into marinades, glazes, sauces, or accompanying side dishes and condiments. Roasted pork and game, especially when accented with spices, bring out the fruity character of the wine.
MUSE EXTRA Cuvee reaches its peak expression in the first twelve years and then, under the right bottle-storing conditions, exceed seventeen years or more.
MUSE EXTRA Cuvee with a bottle ageing potential of seventeen years and more. The rich structure and harmony of the aromas acquire complexity, elegance, softness and bouquet with ageing.
Thanks to a highly suitable micro-terroir and natural production methods, the wine remains fresh, fruity, and full of flavour and vitality.
