A sophisticated, full-bodied wine made from selected, finest Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from vineyards on terraces, selected and tested orientations, and old and reliable clones. A select blend that ripens only in the most favourable vintages.

Grape variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Wine region: Goriška brda - Slovenia Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone with a predominantly clayey component, the soil is rich in minerals and marine fossils. Vineyard orientation: SE Altitude: 150 m Vine training: single Guyot Grape harvest: October. Hand harvesting, selected grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon at full ripeness. Maceration: 18 days on the skins in tronconic wooden vats. The wine is fermented with the grape`s own yeast. Fermentation is completed in barrique oak barrels. Barrels: Barriques, made to our order from Slovenian oak, selection.
Naturally dried, selected Merlot grapes are fermented and matured separately in barrique barrels.
Maturing: natural maturing in barrique barrels for five years. After tasting, the wines are blended to combine Cuvee MUSE Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon. Maturing continues after bottling. TERTIARY AROMAS will develop over the years to come.
Sugar level: dry Wine is not filtered. Bottle and packaging: Bordolese GOLIA 0,75 l / cardboard box 6 bottles
Serving temperature: 18–20 °C. We recommend opening the bottle about one hour prior to tasting the wine. The aroma is fully developed through the process of decanting.
Description: A deep, dark ruby colour. With longer maturing, it acquires a brick red colour with ruby hues. A sophisticated, intense bouquet, full of spicy and balsamic notes. Noble aromas of ripe fruit, cherry and figs jam, dark dried fruits, cherries in liqueur, liquorice, aromatic herbs, hints of mint and pepper gradually give way to aromas of ‘goudron’. The wine is full-bodied and lively on the palate, filling the taste buds with its density and elegant tannic texture, and ending with a lingering, fresh and wonderfully noble aftertaste. A full-bodied vibrant wine.

MUSE Cuvee with a bottle ageing potential of seventeen years and more. The rich structure and harmony of the aromas acquire complexity, elegance, softness and bouquet with ageing.
Thanks to a highly suitable micro-terroir and natural production methods, the wine remains fresh, fruity, and full of flavour and vitality.
