Red blend wine Lux is made from selected grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon growing in terraced vineyards. Merlot: Our vineyards bring out its potential with smooth and soft wine with a great deal of colour, roasted aromas and flavours. Whereas Cabernet sauvignon brings its extracted aromas. The final result is a harmonious blend. 

Grape variety: Merlot 80%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%
Wine growing region: Brda Slovenia and D.O.C. Collio Goriziano Italy
Soil: flysch of Eocene origin (marl and sandstone). 
Vineyard orientation: SE and SW
Altitude: 150 m
Grape harvest: early October. Hand harvesting at full ripeness, selected grapes. Gentle handling of grapes and must.
Maceration: 10 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed stainless steel tanks.
Maturation: 1 year in oak barrels.
Sugar level: dry
Bottle and packaging: Bordolese Std 0,75 l / cardboard box of 12 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 °C
Description: dark ruby in colour. Bouquet and aroma of ripe blackberries are in perfect harmony with a pleasant acidity. Complex, fresh and full taste. A harmonious wine with mineral notes. A fruity aftertaste.

Appetizers: slices of dried venison, mushroom dishes
Main courses: fried liver in wine, veal shank in the oven
Game meat: game terine, roasted duck
Cheeses: semi-mature cheeses 

Lux blend with the maturing capability of 10 years or more, in bottles. Over the years of ageing, the rich structure and harmony of aromas gain in complexity and bouquet. The wine stays fresh, fullness of taste and vitality thanks to the micro-terroir and the natural production method.
